I had lip biting habit when i was 16-17 yr old. After that my Lips cracked.. skin layer comes and get peeled off after every 2-3 days when i bath or drink water skin layer becomes white due to moisture then become normal after 4-5 mins...i used vaselline and tried many home remedies like ghee etc.. But nothing works.. Please help.. Is it curable?

Hi. First and foremost,, you will have to get rid of lip biting habit. Also don't forcibly pull the layers of lips by fingers.

I understand your problem. It's called factitious chelitis. Kindly refrain from lip smacking, peeling of lip skin. Ghee won't help. However, you can try good quality honey!! There is also an option called lip skin booster injection. It helps to keep lips soft and moisturised :)
Avoid lip biting first of all , for that behavioural therapy is helpful.
Secondly use a good lip balm like Nivea 5-6 times a day and for cracked lips or dryness , consult a nearby qualified dermatologist.
