Continuous High fever
I got fever on Wednesday (23rd) suddenly in the afternoon. Took a combiflam and the temperate came down. Had dinner and when reached home, had chills in night even when only fan was running. In the morning, checked temperature and it was 103. Went to a doctor who suspected a stomach and chest infection and got some tests done (CBC, Sugar and Urine routine). The only negative thing that came out in reports was 2-3 Pus cells in urine. Since then, having Paracetamol 650 mg three times a day along with a antibiotic (for bacterial infection) to keep the fever at bay but 3rd day into medication and my fever still reaches 103 during larger gap between paracetamol. I feel something is not right as either the antibiotic is not working or we have not identified the correct source of infection. My doctor stays convinced that after another 2 days, I should start feeling better. Kindly suggest!
