Cough after cold
My daughter is 2 years old. She had cold few days back. For which the doctor prescibred coriminic syrup. I gave her. Now she is better but now she seems to have nasal congestion and when I put saline solution nothing comes out. And now she has cough. Dry cough but. Otherwise she is feeding fine. Playing fine. Sleeping fine but coughing sometimes. What to do? She has no fever. Her urine and poop are normal

If mild, avoid unnecessary medicine and just give steam inhalations for cold and cough and decongestant nasal drops for nasal block or increased cough on lying down. Use paracetamol for fever if required. If not improving OR accompanied by other symptoms like wheezing or breathlessness or dullness and refusal to feed, consult your paediatrician for physical examination and treatment.
