My son is 3 month old and he has been coughing since last 1.5 month. I visited my doctor 5 times almost like evey week and he said its bronchitis and prescribed medication. But my son is coughing and coughing... why does it so??? Is it like the same for most of the kids or what is it??? Please suggest

If your child gets cough more during night and early morning hours, then it's mostly allergic. Cough due to infection will cause poor weight gain, recurrent hospitalizations. Get his hemoglobin levels checked as anaemia also predisposes to frequent infections

If cough is paroxysmal it could pertussis.
If it is nocturnal it could be allergic.
