Crohn's disease
Due to erosion in ileum and jejunum supposedly due to crohn's disease, I have been taking Adfrar injection. Frequency of stool is normal. I have been informed this is life long treatment, however, any chance to skip few doase. Any breakthrough for a cheaper treatment has evolved.

There is no clear-cut guidelines to stop drug. If patient is in complete response, his colonoscopy and biopsy is normal and patient maintain response for 1 year then attempt to stop drug can be made. 50 % patient again develops symptoms after stopping and need reintiation of drug. It must be done after consultation with your treating gastroenterologist. Dose should not be skipped, because it may limit the efficacy in future. Currently the alternative drugs are under trials. Filgotinib and upadacitinib are under trail.
