Cyst in right overy
One year my wife had to undergo a surgical abortion, after that no normal period was observed as before, sonography done 4 months back was normal, Doctor suggested to wait for some time take pills for two months it will be ok.. but now as period being continuously irregular I means not as before. We consulted again. There is found a cyst of size 84.8 cc volume cyst in right overy. I am attaching herewith the reports for your reference, please suggest the way forward. Is is curable by medicine or serious to go ahead for surgery, we consulted an Ayurvedic hospital where it got diagnosed hospital is YMT Ayurvedic medical college Navi Mumbai, doctor has suggested three months medicine, I want second opinion for faster and assured recovery, please suggest..

Dear Practo user,
With the description you have given, it is better to remove the Ovarian cyst and subject the specimen for examination. It is unusual for the cyst to appear so soon and grow to such a size. Certain investigations will have to be done before surgery, which the concerned Gynaecologist will advise.
