Dengue fever
Hello doctor, My husband has high fever since sunday midnight with temp (103 and 104), fever is on and off with dolo and temp fluctuating between 101 to 99 from Monday evening to now, we did all the tests, dengue nice antigen positive and platelets are 195000. We went to hosp and using dolo, zincovit, taxim and doxy. A part from fever he doesn't have any symptoms like nause, vomiting, pain abdomen. My question is he still Getting fever spikes sir. When this will reduce. From morning to evening it is showing as 100, 99,101. Could you kindly provide your advice. Thank you so much in advance.

If he has not responded to first line treatment then he should get blood tested for Dengue antigen and Malaria antigen. If it is Dengue antigen positive then he doesn't need any Antibiotics. He will be managed on symptomatic treatment.
