Hello, You need to know the reason behind the dental pain., whether it is due to an abscess, fistula or a cyst, so that the problem can be solved . Treatment with antibiotics is a temporary solution. The infection might resolve but it can recur again in a couple of days or weeks.
Next Steps
Visit a Paediatric Dentist as soon as possible., as your child is 8 years old, he needs to been seen by a child specialist dentist.
Health Tips
Frequently treating with antibiotics can lead to resistance, so I would suggest you to talk to a specialist (paediatric dentist), so that the problem can be solved by the best in the field .
