f your 10-year-old son has misshapen or unshaped teeth, it's important to seek professional dental advice. Here are some steps you can take: Schedule a dental appointment: Make an appointment with a pediatric dentist, who specializes in treating children's dental needs. They will be able to evaluate your son's teeth and provide appropriate recommendations. Consultation and examination: During the dental appointment, the dentist will examine your son's teeth and assess the specific issues with their shape. They may take X-rays or other diagnostic images to get a comprehensive view of your son's dental structure. Treatment options: Depending on the specific issues with your son's teeth, the dentist may recommend different treatment options. These may include: Orthodontic treatment: If the misshapen teeth are due to alignment or crowding issues, orthodontic treatment may be necessary. This can involve braces, aligners, or other orthodontic appliances to correct the alignment and shape of the teeth. Dental restorations: In some cases, dental restorations such as dental bonding or veneers may be used to improve the shape and appearance of the teeth. Oral hygiene and preventive care: The dentist will also provide guidance on proper oral hygiene practices for your son. They will explain how to maintain good dental health through regular brushing, flossing, and regular dental check-ups. It's important to consult with a dental professional experienced in treating children to ensure your son receives appropriate care. They will consider your son's age, dental development, and specific needs to create a personalized treatment plan. Remember, the information provided here is general, and it's crucial to consult with a dental professional for a thorough evaluation and personalized treatment recommendations based on your son's specific dental condition.

If she is in her teens, get her visit a good orthodontist and start her teeth alignment treatment started asap. If metal braces are an issue, go for original Invisalign. They are expensive but definitely worth the price in terms of results. You can visit THE DENTAL MASTERS CHANDIGARH for getting the same done as we have best orthodontists from PGI/AIIMS/Manipal working with us.

You must visit an orthodontist as soon as possible to prevent further complication. There are some retained temporary teeth( milk teeth ), which need to be extracted first and then a proper treatment plan with the orthodontist must be done to treat the improperly placed teeth.
Next Steps
Visit a dentist and get an insight of the complete protocol.

The child here has severe mal-occlusion and you should have visited a good dentist much before. Why I say that is because there are a few mal-occlusion types that can be prevented or treated during their developing stages. Now since the deformity has already set in PLEASE get in touch with a good clinic with an experienced orthodontist. Don't worry about the alignment. This will be corrected by an orthodontist but is a time consuming procedure and requires dedication!

Visit House of Dentistry by Dr Meenu Dhiman, Dwarka-Delhi
Health Tips
