Depressed and no point in living.
I have been depressed for along time, maybe from school days. I was always ignored by classmates due to color of my soon and they thought I was sort of awkward, sluggish. I really haven't expressed how I felt to anyone. I feel so uncomfortable to socialise express thoughts, love and affection, I really don't feel anything anymore. I really feel so numb and I suck at everything. Now I feel like there is no point in living this life. I m scared of marriage, there is no hope in this world

I am able to understand how u must b feeling. Many of the symptoms which u have mentioned is seen in people with depression and social anxiety. Not knowing how to cope with stress can lead to such difficulties. Depression makes a person sensitive and irritable to things which they were able to tolerate before and lead to interpersonal problems. V would need to know few more details like ur sleep, hunger, energy levels, interest etc to give appropriate suggestions. Depression reduces the concentration, motivation and interest in a person. Anxiety can cause bodily symptoms like palpitations tremors sweating etc. Dont feel bad, it's not ur fault. It usually occurs because of chemical or hormonal changes in the brain. Ur problems can easily be treated with counselling and if needed medications. Don't let ur problems affect ur personal or family life. U can also consult me online directly through the practo chat option. Best wishes for speedy recovery!!

It is very easy to think that there is no hope in this world and there is no point in trying anymore. I know its very painful for you. And no body can take away your pain. Whatever you have explined, it is clear that you just accepted the adversities of your life. You never tried to share things with anyone, never tried to fight back. You got some negative feedbacks from some people and that was the end of ur world. If i am not wrong you make many assumptions in mind about what people will think, how they will react etc before taking any action. You stored all the negative inputs of your life and filtered all positive ones and now you just closed your brain and saying to yourself that there is no hope. If i assume that you have tried also to come out of it but failed then i must suggest you try again, but this time with some prifessional help. Who can help you? Depression can be treated by medications and through psychotherapy. At present i will not suggest you to go to psychiatrist and start medications. Rather i will suggest you to start sessions with clinical psychologists. Go for regular sessions for prescribed period. You will start feeling the change after couple of them. Do not ignore your symptoms. Seek help.
Next Steps
consult a registered clinical psychologist
