DEPRESSION
Am feeling depression,Anxiety..Etc.. Doctor has suggested Blood tests CBC,Thyroid profile,ECG,S creatine..These tests can detect Depression And Anxiety???And my doctor suggests Paroxetine 12.5 and Propranolol 40mg How much duration time to take these to show effect???please answer me Am at Risk

Hi! Blood tests do not help in diagnosing depression/anxiety. However, vitamin deficiencies and hypothyroidism/hyperthyroidism may also lead to depression/anxiety symptoms. That could be the reason your doctor must have suggested the tests. Your medicines might take up to 2 weeks.

These test does not detect depression or anxiety. Usually a psychiatrist doesn't advise these tests as psychiatrist can diagnose depression and anxiety with minimum investigation. Medications mentioned by you usually start showing effects in 2 weeks. All the best

Relax There is no risk You can get the tests done Your depression will be mainly diagnosed based on your history Go for the medicine it will takes minimum two weeks Also go for therapy You can consult with me or any psychologist for therapy and counselling All the best
