Depression with suicidal tendencies
My cousin brother who is 40 years old now is suffering from acute depression since 1997 due to his non fulfillment of getting admission in Medical College. After 2 years of his suffering he was consulted with local psychiatrists and taking medicine as per their advice. But still he is not getting well and sometimes shows suicidal tendencies. Please suggest with your valuable advice.

TO deal with any mental disorder u need to consult Both psychiatrist and psychologist. Medicinal help and management help both are needed.
Ur brother needs counselling and psychotherapy. Suicidal thoughts and depression is not a good combination.
U need to deal with both.
Consult immediately psychologist and take proper follow up treatment.
Also take proper follow up treatment of psychiatrist.
