Since baby is almost a newborn at just 1.6 months, any cough: whether dry or wet, has to be evaluated by a doctor, especially as 15days duration. Giving an opinion online (without examining baby) is inappropriate. In this age group of less than 6month olds, cough syrup is preferably avoided (in fact, not approved in Western countries)

Health Tips
15days duration of cough is highly unusual in infants & will need workup (eg. reflux, swallowing dysfunction)
