Dear Patient,
Thank you for sharing your symptoms. A dry cough persisting for three months is a concern and could be indicative of various underlying conditions such as allergies, asthma, gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), or even a chronic respiratory infection. The fact that your cough is accompanied by a noticeable neck sound suggests that there might be some irritation or inflammation in your throat or airways.
While cough syrup can provide temporary relief, it is essential to identify and address the root cause of your cough. Persistent coughing can lead to further complications if not treated appropriately.
I strongly recommend that you schedule a consultation for a thorough evaluation. We may need to conduct some tests to determine the exact cause of your symptoms and to rule out any serious conditions.
