During pregnancy fluid discharge
My wife is 9 weeks pregnant and recently there was a light brown fluid discharge from vagina.
Frequency of discharge is not that much.
Is it normal during pregnancy?
Doctors recommended her to do a sonography test after two weeks.
Meantime, I would like to understand what is the reason for it? And what are possibility reasons this happens?

it is not normal.. there might be various reasons starting from threatened abortion..missed abortion..infection etc..
Next Steps
repeat sonography after 2weeks incase you have done a sonography already
