Diminition of vision without any pathology is known as amblyopia & in common language called lazy eye. Amblyopic eye can only be treated upto 10 yrs with the help of occlusion &,pleoptic treatment which is not available every where, you will have consult eye hospital with well equipped orthopedics & pleoptic department with well trained paramedical staff.Parents  with amblyopic child will have to search such hospital .I have experience of minimum 2000 children getting 6/6 or 6/9 from less than 6/60 vision but diagnosis of amblyopia before 10 yrs is must because there is not much improvement even after dedicated pleoptic for 2-3 months. Lazy eye ultimately to divergent squint because it takes anatomical position, our eyes are straight because vision keeps eye straight. Eyes with no Vision or very less vision will always lead to divergent squint, so eyes with divergent squint even after squint surgery again results into divergent squint. Most important point to note here is if amblyopic child vision is restored normal with the help of pleoptic treatment & the operated for Squint surgery it will remain straight & have binocular single Vision through out life & child will never face the problem of divergent squint again in life. From your prescription I have concluded that  your child is highly myopic & suffering from amblyopia (lazy eye)also or there might be retina problem because even with glass she is not able to read more than 4 lines. You are not satisfied with my reply you may consult me ,l will definitely guide you, because you are living in Delhi

She is having binocular High myopic amblyopia with myopic Fundus. Glasses are must and she should engage more  in far work like sitting in back Bench in class watching tv enjoying outdoor activities through a window.because she has nearsightedness which means far vision is compromised bit compare to near Vision though both are relatively compromised. Every 6 months eye check up with Fundus check up is must and also if any change in glass power should be corrected. Till 13 years she has got good chances of getting back her lost vision onlu time and effort will show the results. Ones she grows and able to handle contact lenses then it's better choice over glasses.becaue her eye balls are big and layers are thin better to avoid out door games due to more chances of damage to the eyes even with mild injury to the eyes. Laser can be opted after 19 years age ones the power is stable or else can be attempted at any age to give better results and if any increase in power post lasik can be corrected with glasses or contact lenses.
Next Steps
periodic eye check up is must
Health Tips
