Fever after tooth scaling
Hi, yesterday evening I have done scaling after which from today's morning I am feeling low and having sore throat and little fever. Is that common or need to visit hospital

Usually scaling is a basic procedure in which with ultrasonic scaler is used to clean the calculus. So there are rare chances of pain,fever or sore throat in this procedure.

If there is a little bleeding from the gums or if you have not taken the proper antibiotic regimen prescribed to you , you might feel a little bit Pyrexic i.e tendency to feel feverish. But Sore throat and Fever combined can not be caused as a result of scaling procedure.

Fever after scaling is unlikely to happen. Weakness or sore throat never occur. These are not post scaling symptoms. Visit a General Physician for the diagnosis.
