Fever from 10 days with shivering
My nephew is suffering from fever from last 10 days, doctor gave him oral taxim-o 200mg ,pcm, then given IV amikacin, Monocef BD but still no change, fever comes with shivering. Typhoid test done,it shows normal. Kindly suggest what might be the cause???

Patient definitely needs further evaluation like blood culture for growth and antibiotic sensitivity plus other blood tests urine tests and physical examination to check for fever foci . Typhoid neg doesn’t rule out typhoid always . Rest checking for malaria UTI is important as shivering is present
