My mother is 75 years old and patient of diabetes and Bp , but both are under control . from yesterday she is feeling dizzy and her voice is slurry . mild in sensation in right hand . so I consulted doctor . in MRI report it is diognosed focal acute ischmic infarct . I want to know how critical is this and what is recovery rate

If any recurrance of symptoms like change in speech, numbness or weakness of face, one side limbs consult immediately to nearby neurologist. As within first 4 hrs thrombolytic injection can be administered if it is a ischemic stroke.
