Fracture in knee cap
Hi.. There is a small bike accident and having a plaster of 6 weeks. Attached exray report for reference. May any other options available instead of plaster. Can he remove plaster after one month. There is personal emergency. Thanks

Hi there I understand your concern...Treatment of patellar fracture depends on nature of displacement either non surgical or surgical. An un displaced fracture require at least 4-6 weeks of immobilisation under cast while displaced fracture require surgical treatment followed by exercise for complete rehabilitation...yours looks like displaced one hence plastering done in your case...consult your treating orthopedic surgeon for further details.
