If the broken part has touched the nerve of the teeth, will require root canal treatment, followed by a post and ceramic crown.

Hello mam....
if the broken is superficial then we can restore it with teeth coloured filling...if it is deeper then we need to go for Root canal treatment followed by capping...
First and foremost X-Ray has to be taken to rule out in which level your teeth is broken.....
As you mentioned in the history you are having black discolouration which indicates trauma to the inner most nerve layer which needs root canal treatment....
However proper clinical and radiological examination is necessary to conclude the treatment plan

Black discoloration indicates that any trauma might have been done to tooth.
If you remember any accident or accidental injury to your tooth and history?
Do you have any x-ray to check for fracture!

Hello mam, if it can be filled then we can fill and bring it back to normal size with filling.
If it's very big and deep it might require root canal treatment followed by a cap.
I would advise you to visit your dentist for the better understanding of your condition and get it treated.
