I have never faced any issue in train travel. But since there were couple of big train accident on last year, from that day I am getting fear to travel in train. And that fear is not coming for me, it is coming for my small kid. For my small kid (3 years), I am getting panic and fear to travel in train. I know train journey is safest as compare to other mode, but still I am getting very worried. I am feeling comfortable to travel in flight only. But it is always not easy to travel by flight considering flat ticket price. Please suggest what should I do? Shall
i travel in train? Or considering my situation it is advisable to travel in flight? Kindly help in suggesting. Thanks.

Air travel is the safest mode of travel. Train travel is also safe. But we cannot live our lives fearing accidents. It cannot happened to anyone the richest, state head, etc
When time comes while walking we can trip fall and die. So rather than living life of fear for you or your loved one. With basic precautions be happy and enjoy. Still if the negative thoughts come, consult an astute psychiatrist either in person or online and take a course of anxiety reducing medications. Good luck
To comment properly I would have to know whether you have undertaken any recent train travels with your son or not. If you have then how were you able to handle your anxiety?
If you think it might be too much for you to bear you make get evaluated by some psychiatrist and they can prescribe limited doses of benzodiazepines to you for only the travel so that your anxiety is under control.
It is not advisable to change your lifestyle because of anxiety problems. That is called avoidance and it will just increase your symptoms.
More advisable is to take help and control your anxiety and do what is economically more feasible for you.
Seek professional help .. you need to get assessment for phobia and anxiety
If there is any need you will be kept on anti anxiety pills (SSRI’s)for desired duration or CBT or both
