In my opinion, considering you are young this could prplobably be reversible damage. You should main good oral hygiene for avoiding further damage.
Next Steps
You should visit a dentist and get cleaning done. Also use a gum astringent like stolin to massage your gums thoroughly thrice a day for 5 min.
Health Tips
Avoid having hard food till you are done with your treatment and hopefully you should be fine very soon.

Assuming your question is about receding gums. There are many causes for receding gums. Depending on the severity, the treatment might vary, in case of very minor cases only a deep cleaning might allow the gums to its normal position, in case of moderate and severe cases you might need a minor surgical procedure.
Next Steps
Maintain good oral hygiene.
Health Tips
Consult a periodontist ( gum specialist ) for further opinion and management.
