Hair fall
Hi. I noticed when i went to the salon last night that there are oval patches that have appeared on my scalp out of the blue. I believe it wasnt even there last month and has appeared suddenly. I am not sure if this is male pattern baldness or some disease. I have a friend who is suffering from alopecia. I dont know if its the same though i found its shape and things to be quite similar. If it is, is there a cure to it or is it permanent? I would really appreciate your thoughts on this. Thanks!

You are having alopecia areata. this is an autoimmune condition due to the attack of lymphocytes against hair roots. It results in the formation of bald patches on the scalp. It can affect any hairy area of the body also like eyebrows and  beard. It has to be treated properly until the immunity comes down. Once the immunity is controlled, hair grows back over the patches. Please call and visit me at my clinic for accurate diagnosis and treatment. Or else consult online on Practo app.
