Having no speech at an age of 3
She is 3 yr old and mostly use signals to communicate. She said few words like mumma , papa, no.
She undestands commands and identify colours , alphabets, counting 1-10,shapes but not able to speak. Is this a case of aurism? How can i encourage her to speak?

Hi. I am a senior speech language consultant. By this age your child should be speaking min in 2-3 word phrases. If she is not speaking yet. You definetly need to take her for consultation. We need to find out the reason for not picking up language. It could be very simple reason as multilingual exposure or can have some other issues. Needs to be checked for sure.
