Doctor did tuning fork test...is that accurate. Is there a difference between pure-tone audiogram test and pure-tone air conduction threshold hearing test?

Tuning fork tests are not very accurate and Clinically they are helpful on evaluating hearing loss. Pure tone audiogram is gold standard in evaluating hearing threshold. So if you are looking for asset assessment of your hearing threshold then pure tone audiogram is the best method. Pure tone air conduction threshold is part of routine pure tone audiogram
