Heart problem
Hi. I got myself examined for blood pressure, sugar,WBC, RBC, ECG, thyroid before I decided to get married. Only after the reports were perfect, I decided to register myself online on matrimonial site. My weight is 84 kgs. It was 73 when I got married in November 2017. I have developed a high pulse rate - ranging from 95 to 115. Also my blood pressure is on a very high side. Could it be because of increase in weight? Or because of all the mentally disturbing situation in my married life?

Dear mam I cam imagine it must be quite distressing for you. Please see a physician and get yourself checked to rule out any physical cause for your symptoms. even though you had done the health checkup before marriage, it is advisable to see a physician. See a psychiatrist to discuss the issues you are facing in marriage.you have mentioned about mentally disturbing things that has been happening in your married life. It will be helpful if you are able to discuss this further with a professional and devise helpful coping skills to deal with these issues. Thanks Regards Dr Ankita Mishra

You have mentioned multiple things, weight, marriage, physical ailments and prior to marriage your physical check up. At this point it could be because of all the things you mentioned or because of specific reason which is not clear from your message. Can you describe your problem in detail? Stress is something that is both ways so because of being overweight and BP issues your body could be in stress on the other hand your issues in marriage could be leading to mental stress that is affecting your body too.
Next Steps
get a complete health check done to assess if there are any physical cause. secondly consult a Psychologist/counsellor to discuss your marital issues. you could ping us here also for online Counseling or anybody close to your area.
Health Tips
take a step back and assess your lifestyle: eating habits, sleep patterns, binging, physical exercise etc... if you are not working then taking up a job or volunteering for some work always helps to change perspectives, builds self confidence and develops self esteem. do lot of walks/ and regular exercise to be healthy don't diet to loose weight. marital issues are best solved by talking about it so talk with your spouse or go to a marriage counselor. focus on resolution and we are there for help.
