5 months before my heart rate was 94-96 and i got palpitation,on that day my BP was 150/100, Doctor given me metaporol xr and after four weeks my BP was 140/90, So doctor changed the medicine ,it's (s).Metaporol+ telmisartan 40 mg once a day ( morning). I have been taking it from last four months, from last 26 days my BP in the morning before taking medicine 110/70 and evening 120/70 after taking.my Heart Rate while Resting 52-56,while standing 60-66 while lying down it's constantly 52bpm. I am occasionally smoke​ and drinks. Can I stop my medication or reduce medication.Can i have two drinks occasionally?. I am obese, doing walk and excercice most of the day in the week.i don't have any symptoms that reduced BP.

Probably u should continue medicine and if you loose weight may be medicine can be reduced or even stopped
