My father doesn't have BP problem.Suddenly his BP became high 170/90.what to do immediately if bp becomes high?

If asymptomatic Then go for basic investigation 1st step to confirm HTN by Home BP monitoring or ABPM If True HTN then require REnal function test and Urine R/M and USG abd if any evidence of asymatrical size of kidney may require Renal v/s doppler to look for any evidence of renal artery stenosis electrolytes including sodium and potassium , ECG Start with amlodipine and salt restrictions Home BP monitoring
