Hit by cricket ball
While playing cricket my thumb got hit by the ball. First day there was swelling but as the day passed the swelling has been decreased. I dont know if there is fracture or not, but im able to make movement in my thumb, but my thumb is hurting in activities where i need to apply pressure on my thumb example pressing a button hardly or applying pressure between thumb and index finger. Is it a severe injury.

Please give more details. How old is the injury? Only an x-ray can say for sure if you've a fracture. Considering your age, you're looking at least 3 weeks for healing to take place (if no fracture) Rest and moist heat to the thumb will help.
