Hiv test result
Hello doctor, i had an unprotected sexual intercourse due to which later i got afraid if i got hiv. So i got tested for it and it was serum by ECILA method. The result was 0.23 non reactive coi. I think this means that i dont have hiv. Please can u confirm

Yes the test results means that you don't have HIV in your body. However, before interpretation of results one must take into consideration the timing of exposure and when was the test done after the sexual exposure. HIV ELISA test gives conclusive results only after 3 weeks of exposure. It may not to catch the infection if done immediately.
