Your kid might not be having wax problem but a condition called otomycosis which is fungal infection given the history of swimming classes.Need further history and examination to confirm. If it is otomycosis you need to get the ear cleaned by an ENT specialist and also use an antifungal ear drops like Fluconazole ear drops .
