I am a 40 year old healthy unmarried male and sexually active. One of my partners said she was detected with vaginal warts though no disease or infection. She wanted me to check for HPV as well though I have no symptoms. I even got full HIV and STI tests done a week ago and all negative.
she and I never have had any unsafe or unprotected sex. Do men get HPV or need to check? I am not sure how men are tested for HPV

Hi.. In men, HPV ( Human Papilloma Virus) often causes no symptoms but can lead to genital warts, penile, anal, or throat cancers. Warts appear as small, flesh-colored bumps. Testing includes anal pap smears for high-risk individuals and visual examination. There's no routine HPV test for men without symptoms or risk factors.
Yes it’s possible for men to have HPV. Men have have warts at penis, anal canal as well. There are tests to detect those. But mostly it’s clinical evaluation.
