HPV testing
I have been having a recurring vaginal yeast infection since April. I have already done my Pap smear and HPV test in May and June. Both the reports were negative for HPV but the smear test showed a moderate inflammation. Wanted to know if I should repeat the tests again within a few months as the yeast infection isnt clearing but at the same time I havent been sexually active since January of this year. Can it be HPV which is lying in a dormant state and hence not showing up in the results and causing the recurrent vaginal infection? Can HPV test show dormant strain lying in the vagina?
