Hyper-trophic Scar
I went through a salabrasion process about 2 years and 4 months ago. And I got left with a hyper trophic scar - a small one on my arm, can be covered with my thumb. It dose not look like a keloid because it never grew beyond the wound boundary. But it is raised up from the skin surface.

As rightly identified by you...it is hypertrophic scar and not keloid...which can be flattened with proper treatment....do visit your nearest Dermatologist for further course of management
