I have Hypo-Thyroid problem, Taking eltroxin 100 mcg daily morning befor break fast.
All T3, T4, Tsh, Ft3 and Ft4 are normal
But having High AMA (10 times more) .. May i know the importance of this AMA (Anti-TPO Antibodies)
Would like to know about the importance of AMA and further precautions/ treatment

AMA antibodies are special proteins released by your own immunity as it gets a bit confused. These antibodies attack and destroy your thyroid gland. Hence you have hypothyroidism. The high levels do not need treatment nor any special precautions. It just confirms your thyroid illness.
