Important fatty acids
Hello, I am a vegetarian. I am thinking about starting supplementation for DHA, EPA especially for my hair. Is it alright to have supplement containing 1000 mg/day(DHA, EPA combined)? And how long should I keep having these supplement for, and how long should the time gap be, before restarting these supplements? PS: I had a blood test in feb 20, the results showed cholesterol, thyroid and other cardiac risk markers to be normal. I don't take any medicine except supplementation for vitd, b12, b9, b7, iron. I don't have any underlying medical problem. I don't smoke or consume alcohol. I workout everyday.

If you are a vegetarian,  please check the medication you are taking,  most of the DHA/EPA capsules are made of gelatin.

Well sir u can take these supplements for 6-8 months In a go, and then give a gap for a month or so. Continue your workout.  But more I.porant is that avoid unhealthy fat I take in your diet, if any. Avoid fried and cooked fat, continue with uncooked/ raw plant fat (like flaxseeds, other seeds, nuts) in moderate amount. Avoid excessive carbohydrates and sweets. Regular fiber I take in the form of vegetables and brans
