I had been undergoing braces treatment for past 2 years.
My original requirement was to only close gaps between my teeth
I had a canine in upper palatte and that needed to be exposed. It took 2 years to bring it down but is rotated. The doctor is suggesting to leave it as is and build up than bring it in position.
Please advise how much time will it take if I want to correct original tooth.
Also are their chances of tooth becoming dead. What to do if there is not enough space to rotate?

Please follow your doctor's advice. He is absolutely right.
Reasons:
1. De-rotation of a long tooth i.e canine requires a lot of time and chances of it's remaining stable in its new position are also low.
2. Jawbone at your age becomes brittle requiring more time for tooth movements.
3. Your doctor knows how your body is responding to the treatment and does what is best for you.
