My husband had hepc and after treatment we noticed increased alt, AST, serum globulin and serum protein levels. He then took udiliv and xetax for 1 month and his alt and alt levels became normal. However, his serum globulin is 4.10g/DL, ( normal level is 2-3.5g/DL) total protein is 8.71 g/DL ( normal level is 6.3 to 8.2g/DL) and A/G ratio is 1.10 ( normal level is 1.2 - 1.8g/DL) is this alarming??

Patients with hepc are known to have liver problems. And this report what u have given is expected in such cases.
Kindly check his liver function test again. If he has any bone pains, any urinary symptoms, or his proteins or globulins are increasing kindly get his urine examination, x ray lumbosacral spine, cbc, usg abdomen and serum protein electrophoresis and serum calcium done. These are helpful to diagnose other conditions like multiple myeloma also
Patients with chronic liver disease tends to have high globulin levels
It is not a matter of concern
However if the globulins keep on increasing or he develops body pains and anemia then it’s recommended to do Serum protein electrophoresis to see if these globulins are normal proteins or any abnormal M spike is there or not which is seen in a condition called myeloma
