Increasing breast milk

Asked for Female, 30 Years

Am having 4 months baby for me nowadays my milk supply is very low while pumping am not getting a single drop .. i dont no whether milk is getting in while baby is sucking what should i do to increase my milk please tell me

To determine whether your milk supply is sufficient or not, there are a few pointers to note. First, count the number of times your baby passes urine in a day. Adequately fed babies pass urine 6 times or more in a 24 hour period. Next, a well fed baby sleeps soundly after a feed. Also you can monitor your baby's weight when you visit your doctor who will guide you if baby's weight gain is adequate and thus indicate if feeding is adequate.

Next Steps

In case your milk output is less, there are certain medications that your doctor can prescribe to increase your milk production. Eating a healthy diet consisting of a lot of green leafy vegetables will also increase milk output.
