Infection between toes
Hi, I've a fungal infection between my little finger toe and it's sibling. There is a deep skin crack and small light yellow covered blisters around the crack. We have consulted a physician and he suggested we use Antifungal ointment Clotrimazole twice a day. It's been over a month now. But the symptoms persist. The crack seems to have widened and deeper. The whole foot is swollen and much more so around the little toe. There's a lot of pain over the entire foot so much as it's becoming untouchable. We have tried using Clotrimazole powder instead of the ointment as the latter is causing the skin to become moist and wet causing even more pain. What's suggested for the severe pain and the next steps?  We usually apply powder on the infected site and cover and wrap it with cotton pads for better padding, pain management and comfort.
