Inflammation of Upper Eyelid
I have been having problems with my left eye for more than 4 months, the upper eyelid has been swollen and inflamed, and its usually red and itchy. The doctors are not really sure what it is but they said it might be an allergic reaction however, I have not been given any allergic eye drops or anything although I was given patanol drops, but that just made my eye worse.. so I have been taking predinisolone tablets which helped but when i stop taking it for a while it starts to come back.

Hi, Blepharitis is a likely diagnosis, do you have any other skin condition. Only eye drops won't help you in such cases and would be advised some eye ointment and tablets. And yes please prednisolone tablet are not to be taken as and when ....they need appropriate dosing and tapering.
Next Steps
consult an ophthalmologist and a dermatologist
