Iron deficiency anemia
For the past year my WBC have been really low around 2.8- 1.8 & my neutrophils around 400-900 and did BMB.But in the last month my Hemoglobin has been low as well around 10.8- 11.5 and iron and ferritin really low as well. The hematologist said iron deficiency anemia and just prescribed iron pills. My question is well he is saying not enough iron in my diet eventhough I have a twin sister who has the exact same diet but no iron deficiency. So it seems unlikely its diet related, is that possible?
