Irregular periods

Asked for Female, 30 Years

Heavy blood loss since two days of periods. Had pain in lower ab. Today its third day. Pain is reduced and not feeling that week though but I am concerned whether it blood discharge wil stop or not? Any medicine which will not have side effects?

Thank you for your questions. I'm sorry you are troubled by heavy bleeding. This is common especially if you got your periods after a longer or shorter gap than usual. Provided you have no other significant medical problems you can take mefenamic acid 250 mg three times a day during the bleeding days. If in doubt please clarify this with your regular doctor.
