Is Fibrodenoma surgery needed??
I am one Fibrodenoma in my right breast size 21.7mmx 19.6 mm. I have done usg of it. Do I need surgery?? If yes than how many days I need to hospitalized for surgery?? Is it painful

If it is mentioned on ultrasound report- fibroadenoma and not yet confirmed on biopsy. In that case better to confirm with biopsy. 2 cm fibroadenomas won't go with medications and will require removal in near future.
A day care surgery is sufficient for fibroadenoma removal ( less than 24 hrs).
Pain is not much . Ask doctor for painkillers.

It needs to be confirmed with an FNAC first. If the diagnosis is confirmed, then u can just wait and observe as it is a benign lump. If size increases or if u want to remove it now only it needs to be operated. It’s a small excision, can be done as a day care procedure. It is done under general anaesthesia so need not worry about the pain. There is no medical management for it.
