Is receding gum curable?
Symptom: Sensitivity is on the side of the tooth and nearby the gum. My tooth is sensitive and it looks like gum has gone down. Is receding gum curable? What can be done naturally to bring the gum up???

hloo sir if the gum as receeding more than 2 mm then you have to fo for filling for the sensitivity and if it is less than 2mm then cleaning and gum reattachment can help to overcome condition you can also see us on precto

hi good morning u can undergo cleaning if not more than 1-2mm gingival loss it may revert back or second more than 2mm then filling would be advised. thankyou regards Dr Parul Rai ,Delhi

Sensitivity is maybe due root exposure in the area or abrasion of crown in the area, which are mainly due to faulty toothbrushing. For sensitivity you can go for desenstizing toothpastes available in market. For recession of your gum: kindly use proper brushing strokes to avoid further recession Massage after brushing in the area, this will improve blood circulation and gum health Go for cleaning of your teeth You can contact me through online consultation

Hi Yes it is curable depending on the amount of attachment loss. If it is a minor recession, say just 1-2mm then it can be brought back by deep scaling and curettage. Dr. Hina Mehrotra MDS NOIDA
