Since you are underweight and have anemia, it is advisable to find the cause of the anemia and having it treated prior to pregnancy as during pregnancy also a mild anemia will develop due to increased blood and oxygen supply for the fetus and your child will be at risk of being a preterm or low birth weight baby, post delivery depression, baby with anemia and baby with development delays. Visit a hematologist for anemia correction

Hello dear patient, anaemia (less blood or low hb) in pregnancy is a problem for both mother and child. You need to correct it before getting pregnant, as during pregnancy more blood is required along with iron. So baby can become weak or underweight. You need to take appropriate medication to correct anaemia.
