Can occasional eye rubbing, unconsciously while sleeping lead to keratoconus?... How much eye rubbing is too much eye rubbing?

Eye rubbing per day is not a cause of keratoconus...but it is a symptom of keratoconus....if u r causing too much scratching of eyes for more than few seconds...that's too much..
