Leg weak, can not walk

Asked for Male, 70 Years

My dad is 70 years old. He has been suffering from high blood sugar last 3 years. With proper medication and insulin his blood sugar level is in control. Last 5-6 days he is feeling leg are very week and shaking. He almost can not walk. Anyone can suggest what is the reason for this and what should we do.

Hello.. Its better you take him to a physician as we need to examine him for the cause of weakness..we need to see if it's related to neuropathy, nerve weakness or related to stroke...so please get him examined at the earliest..thank you

Hello there. I can understand your concern. You need to get it checked out by a diabetologist and a neurologist. A full work up will be required. Ask him to take a tab. Hello....... He is past history of diabetes, so it could be due to hypoglycemia.. Check his blood glucose levels... Weakness is common in this age but need to do neurological examination or blood investigation ... Take him to nearest hospital ,doctors will do the needful...
