Hi, A 5 month old child having loose stools since 15 days usually indicates either a infection which has in all probability gone away and now is having secondary lactose intolerance. The question that you have ask is that if the child is running any fever, is dull and dehydrated or has lost weight. If so then she should be shown immediately to a doctor. If no such symptoms then I would suggest getting a stool test done including one for reducing substances and then approach your paediatrician.I am sure he will be able to help you out after seeing the report.Hope she feels better soon.Take care
